11 years on from Vision 2000, Dimensions is now maturing into a popular platform for survey research in the 21st century. The online data capture battle is all but over with the majority of people happily switching from Quancept to Interview Scripting and all the benefits that entails, though CATI is moving more slowly. There is more resistance at the reporting end, but early adopters are finding benefits in specific areas of the technology, and enjoying the challenge. SPSS are integrating Dimensions into the predictive analytics area which is the core thrust of their business, convincing major corporations to use Dimensions to capture the attitudes underpinning their clients’ activities.

We are delighted to offer a wide range of speakers, many of whom worked at SPSS during the development of Dimensions, and are now providing independent business consultancy. The papers offer many practical solutions to problems, as well as looking at some commonly held beliefs and offering alternative viewpoints. Their extensive knowledge of the software provides new insight into the work that survey technologists can achieve, often going well beyond the traditional tabs and CAI domains.

As part of the programme we will be holding a “question-time” session with some of our speakers. The questions should be submitted in advance, though supplementary questions will be taken from the floor on the day. Please e-mail your questions to Raz Khan.
